Vintage original 8x10 in. US single-weight glossy photograph from the popular silent film drama/romance, THE EAGLE, released in 1925 by United Artists and directed by Clarence Brown. The image features a humorous interior medium shot of the Czarina Catherine II (Louise Dresser) holding a drink as she closes her eyes and rests her head on the shoulder of her Lieutenant, Vladimir Dubrovsky (Rudolph Valentino), who is not enjoying the amorous attentions of his royal superior.
Printed on single-weight stock with a glossy finish, this vintage original photograph is in very fine- condition with a 0.75 in. blemish on the edge of the left border near the top corner; a light 1.75 in. diagonal scratch along the bottom of the left border in the background area; and a 1.25 in. horizontal crease on the bottom center of the image area just above the bottom border with signs of wear around it. There are no pinholes, tears, stains, or other flaws and the image quality is razor-sharp with fine detail and beautiful contrast.
