The BSA Hornet was the competition model available to the public in 1966 and 1967.  The Hornet was an export only model that came in two versions: east coast model with high pipes, and west coast model with low TT pipes, different frame, larger oil tank, larger front tire and rim, different front fender, and no center stand.  The well known Hornet is the 650 brother to the 500cc Wasp.  As with the Wasp, the Hornet is strictly a competition/offroad machine with 10.5:1 compression along with its special high performance competition parts.

You can own a Hornet t-shirt with the fuel tank design on the back of the shirt.  They also have the winged BSA logo on the front left chest.

The shirts are 6.1 oz. (heavy) 100% preshrunk cotton.  Far heavier than other 4.3 oz. shirts being sold.  6.0 to 6.4 oz. are the heaviest t-shirts available.
