About the Artist: Ronnie was born in Tyler, TX and received his first gift of canvas and oil paints from his father when he was fifteen. He tacked odd-shaped canvas onto plywood strips until he learned that canvas was meant to be stretched first! That was the first in a long career of self-taught lessons that would bring him to his own amazing style of painting. As a young man he traveled to live in the West–the Grand Canyon and the Rockies–and was inspired for a lifetime of capturing the spirit of these great American treasures on canvas, even after returning to Texas and Oklahoma where he lived for most of his life.
