Additional Details ------------------------------ Product description: Why should you buy this book? Here’s Early in life, I grasped the concept that the pioneer women of the past got together to sew on quilts for more than the quilting. They used that time to share, care and pass on the secrets of life. The older women taught the younger ones. Even the smallest of children would sit under the quilt and listen to the conversation. Maybe those small children did not understand all that was said but they surely absorbed some of the nuggets of truth into their little minds and hearts. That was such an important way for the young women to learn. I learned lessons at the feet of my mother, who although extremely impatient, would show me by example. I learned quickly to pay close attention. I also learned lessons from my mother-in-law, who showed endless patience towards me as I struggled to bloom into womanhood when I first appeared in her life as a precocious 15 year old. Now, I want to share my experiences with other women. It is hard enough to be a woman and hard enough to be a Christian, and sometimes extremely hard to be a Christian woman. We need to help each other, share with each other and love each other. We need to be the rock that someone can lean on, the fresh encouraging word that someone desperately wants to hear and the map that helps guide others through life. This book chronicles my Struggle to Bloom into the Christian woman God wants me to be. And you may find your life within these pages too!
