Synopsis: Twin brothers revolt against tyranny in pre-Roman Italy and then come to a parting of the ways as they lead their people toward the founding of a new city. Excellent battle scenes and scenery make this a must see film. Reeves was to play both parts but successfully lobbied for his friend Scott to play the brother Remus

For its U.S. release, the studio changed the title to the more dynamic sounding Duel of the Titans. There was also the concern that most Americans would not know who Romulus and Remus were.
