Item description for Vintage Bird Colorful Enamel Copper Abstract Lapel Pin South America

This eye-catching stylized lapel pin shows a bird walking. The bird is copper in color with red, blue, yellow green and orange enamel. It measures approximately 1 ¼ inches in diameter. It is not signed and is unmarked as to the origin, but this is most likely from Mexico or Peru; and was likely made to resemble the look/style of pins that were made by Graziella Laffi from South America. It appears to be a thin copper base with colorful hand painted enameling details, but it could also be some other type of metal with copper enamel on the top. I can't be sure and it has not been tested. It comes with a standard butterfly clasp fastener and single post pin back.

It is in great vintage condition as you can see from the many enlarged photographs. There are some tiny dark spots in the copper that you don't really see without the magnification, but I wanted to point that out to you. The simple clasp on the back works just fine. Please look at the photos as they are part of the description and show the details better than I can describe.
