Vintage 8x10 in. US single-weight glossy restrike photograph (not a vintage original photo printed at the time it was taken but one that was printed at a later time from the original negative) from the classic 1940's war drama/romance ACROSS THE PACIFIC, released in 1942 by Warner Bros. and directed by John HustonIn December 1941, ex-army captain Rick Leland boards a Japanese ship heading to Asia via the Panama Canal where his Japanese hosts show interest in the American defense plans for the canal zone.

The image features an exterior medium shot of Rick Leland (Humphrey Bogart) about to share a passionate embrace with Alberta Marlow (Mary Astor) as she gazes upwards into his face. Printed most likely in the 1950's or 1960's from the original negative, this vintage restrike photograph is in fine condition with a light outline of a small paperclip on the top border and slightly into the upper background area on the top border; light signs of wear on the corners; a few small scattered surface creases; and random light horizontal scuffing in the top half of the image area that is visible primarily when viewing the photo at an angle. The image quality is razor-sharp with fine detail and beautiful contrast. There are no pinholes, tears, or stains.
