The Lone Wolf is the nickname of the fictional character Michael Lanyard, a jewel thief turned private detective in a series of novels written by Louis Joseph Vance (1879–1933). A large number of movies based on and inspired by the books have been made. The character also appeared briefly on radio and television. His first appearance on film was in 1917 as a criminal he and remained the bad guy right into the talkies. But in 1939, in The Lone Wolf Spy Hunt he became a reformed gentleman thief, and amateur sleuth on the side of the good guys. This is the complete collection of 15 Lone Wolf films in an 8 DVD-R set. Features include, interactive menus, nicely packaged with art work and each disc is custom printed. Most of these films are very nice quality, some of the early films are not quite as good but still very watchable. Just remember, these movies were made long before the advent of HDTV and in most cases, before the advent of television. So don't expect HD-WIDE SCREEN QUALITY. That being said, if you're a collector and love old movies, you will really like this LONE WOLF FILMS COLLECTION.
