Fine antique German violin made circa 1770, labelled Vincenzo Trusiano Panormo. The top is made of two parts of spruce, and shows regular grain lines. The back is made of two parts of a fantastic flamed maple, the very handsome curl ascending from the center joint. The ribs are of the same wood. The head has been nicely grafted on a new neck, including a beautiful ebony crown at the button. The violin is covered with a golden-brown varnish.

The violin is in a restored condition, with many repairs on the top (including a soundpost one), and some minor cracks on the lower back and on the ribs. The corners have been beautifully rounded by time.

The violin has been revised and set-up, including a new tailpiece, a new chinrest, a Despiau bridge and a set of Thomastik Dominant strings. The pegs are older but still working well. The violin is ready to play.

On the inside back can be found a label of "Vincenzo Trusiano Panormo fecit anno 1762".
