Vintage original 14x22 in. Belgian poster from the 1950's adventure drama ADVENTURES OF CAPTAIN FABIAN, released in the US in 1951 by Republic Pictures and directed by William Marshall and an uncredited Robert Florey. Errol Flynn stars as a sea captain who becomes involved with a servant
girl (Micheline Presle) in early NewOrleans but she sees him as a way to gain access into wealthy
households.
The image features beautiful full-color artwork depicting a close shot of Errol Flynn gazing longingly at Micheline Presle with both a fight scene and a conflagration scene in the background. This film was released by Century Pictures in Belgium and features the company's logo in the bottom right corner. As is typical for Belgian posters of this period, there is a postage stamp affixed to the bottom of Miss Presle's dress in the long shot of her. The blank imprint space at the top includes handwritten play dates that this film was shown (at the Modern Cine). This vintage original Belgian poster is unrestored and in good condition only with a center horizontal fold and a light horizontal fold above and below it; approximately seven vertical tears of varying sizes on the center of the image; and random areas of paper loss and tears on the borders with some tears going into the image area. The colors are extremely rich and appear fresh and vibrant without any signs of fading.
The film features a great cast including Vincent Price, Agnes Moorehead, and Victor Francen.
