Wendell Wilkie (1892-1944) was an American lawyer and corporate executive who ran as the Republican presidential candidate in 1940.  His opponent was Franklin D. Roosevelt the Democratic candidate. This presidential campaign was fought in the shadow of WWII as US emerged from the Great Depression.This pin has strong colors of red, white and blue. Motto states "Wings for America."
