A McCalls 9224…an Ornaments for Christmas Sewing Pattern.

  The pattern is uncut and in original folds.  The instructions are there. The envelope is in very good vintage condition with wrinkles and tiny tears.  The envelope flap is still attached.  There is no copyright date and I could not find one on the instructions but I am placing this pattern in the later 1980s.

I did unfold this pattern enough to be sure the number transfers are there.  The pattern is old enough that the acid from the pattern tissue has left brownish stains on small portions of the transfer.  I do not know if this affects the transfer’s ink.  But, I always suggest that with these older iron on transfers that an alternate method such as carbon paper be substituted.

Pattern Description

There is no written description, but this pattern makes a Large Stocking and Heart Applique, a Tree Topper and Heart Applique, a Boy Doll, a Girl Doll or a Doll on Broom Decoration.  The Ornaments are: Small Stocking, Medium Stocking, Small Star, Girl Doll, Boy Doll
