Drew Whitacker has restored her family home, an Arizona territorial adobe. Drew's neighbor, Concha, lives in the home built by her grandfather during the Mexican Revolution. Lated at night, Drew sees a man running away from Concha's and she calls the police. Detective Chet Miller comes to investigate... Glamorous Concha manipulates those around her, including Drew's handsome dropout son. Interwoven into the plot are Southwest history, traditions, adobe homes and furnishings, breakdown of the family, remarriage with children and the need for roots.
