Item description for Vintage Bird Sparrow Brooch Pin Enamel Gold Tone Signed ART Figural

This is a lovely little gold tone and enamel bird brooch or pin made by ART. It has enamel paint in shades of blue, yellow, red, green, brown and gold. The enamel is accented throughout with little splotches of gold tone paint. It has an amber orange glass or rhinestone eye. The bird is perched on some brown leaves. It is signed on the back ART©. Arthur Pepper created the Mode Art and ART Company in the late 1940s. The bird measures approximately 2 inches from the tip of the tail to the bottom of the leaf and just under 1 ½ inches wide from the tail to the beak.

This brooch is in great vintage condition as you can see by the enlarged photographs. There is miniscule enamel loss that is only visible under magnification, you can see this just above the eye, but it looks more like a gold paint defect than any kind of damage. It has a working roll over safety clasp. Please look at the photos as they are part of the description and show the details better than I can describe.

This would be the perfect accessory for any bird lover. It is a great brooch for any birdwatcher and is sure to be noticed and be a great conversation starter.
