This is a small, intricate carving from Thailand, on a traditional red ground, with inset mirrors or black stones. The gilt is heavy, and the piece, though small, is quite exquisite. It measures 11.5 inches long by 3 inches wide, and is just under 1/2 inch thick. A perfect accent for your decor! It is middle to late 19th Century, probably circa 1880.
