Offered here today is this Fabulous Vintage United States Boy Scout Issue Aluminum Canteen. It has a cloth cover that is 100% cotton. It is in good condition and will hold water. The cloth cover is quite worn, and has a lot of stains on it. It also has handwriting on it on both the front and the back. I am unsure of the exact age of the canteen, but I believe that it most likely dates to the 1950s. It is 8" in diameter and about 3" thick. It has a plastic screw-on cap that is attached with a metal chain. It is a very nice vintage canteen, still completely usable, and would be great for camping or hiking, as well as being a nice vintage Boy Scout Collectible.
