Being sun safe
is important to all of us in order to live longer and healthier lives. If you're planning on being in the sun for extended periods of time or live in a sunny
place then why not be informed as to when you have had enough UV exposure? The
sun's UV rays still come through on cloudy days.
These wristbands
have 3 settings (Normal skin, Sensitive skin and Super Sensitive). After
applying sunscreen, slip on a wristband before going out. Remove the sticker
that applies to your skin type. Each package comes with 14 waterproof
wristbands. When the color on the strip turns the same shade of blue as the
background you have had enough sun! These wristbands are one time use.
Don't forget
your sunglasses!
Here are a few things to keep in
mind when going out in the sun:
Sun Damage is cumulative, meaning
the damage build up with each exposure to the sun. The skin can repair
superficial damage like the redness and soreness of sunburn, but the underlying
damage remains. Once our natural defenses against harmful UV rays are gone, you
cannot get them back.
We are all born with natural
defenses against harmful UV rays that deplete over a lifetime, once they are
gone, there is no getting them back. Children acquire 50-80% of the sun expose
before they are 18.
