These handmade copper earrings are spirals shaped like the planet Saturn. Copper wire is carefully shaped into tight spirals forming the central planet mass and hammered by hand to strengthen. The wire continues to curve around the spiral representing Saturn's rings.The ear wires are also made by hand from copper wire. Copper - I use natural 100% copper wire to create copper jewelry items. It is not treated with a lacquer or wax. Copper naturally oxidizes over time and develops a patina. Some people love that look and some prefer to keep it shiny. Slow the oxidization process by wiping your copper jewelry with a soft clean cloth before and after each use to keep it clean. You can easily clean oxidized copper jewelry and return it to bright and shiny by soaking it in a mixture of lemon juice and salt for 30-60 seconds, rinse with water, and dry. Try it with a penny.
