RANSON'S FOLLY by Richard Harding Davis Grosset & Dunlap, First Photoplay Ed., 1926 Condition: Very Good in Good+ dust jacket Richard Harding Davis was a war correspondent during WWI and author of many novels and stories of adventure and war. Many of these were filmed (including three silent filmings of RANSON'S FOLLY). This book has the third version's star, Richard Barthelmess, on the jacket front and eight full-page photo plates with scenes from the film. Besides the title story, the book also contains four other long tales (including Davis' famous story "In the Fog".) This copy has some cover edgeware along the top and modest corner wear; a red "10" is written on the ffep ; the pages are not seriously toned and have no other markings. The jacket has chipping on the spine ends and some lesser chips at corners and on edges; there is also some staining here and there. Narrow trimming on the flaps may be as printed. A nice photoplay edition with a scarce dust wrapper.
