Item:  Authentic Bottega Veneta Mini Cabat, Barcelona, premium limited edition.

Composition:  Double-layer, hand-woven Barcelona calf leather.

Color:  Platino Ossidato ("oxidized" metallic, also known as PO), a hand-finished treatment intended to patina with wear.

Included:  Original dust cover, pouch, cards.

Description:  No longer in production and now rare, the mini Cabats always were in limited release to Bottega Veneta boutiques located in Asia and Hawaii.

In particular, the Barcelona platino ossidato mini Cabat was produced for one season.  Only 250 were made.  I bought my Barcelona mini Cabat new, in 2009, directly from the Bottega Veneta boutique in Honolulu, Hawaii (see receipt photo).

Original retail price:  $4300 (premium edition, upcharge over standard solid-color nappa mini Cabats).

Condition:  The calf leather has softened with normal use but the bag retains its inherent sturdiness.  It is in excellent condition for its age because I take care of all my things and use them in rotation, seasonally.  I carried this one on my shoulder, avoiding inclement weather, a handful of times per year.  The bag never got wet.  The pouch (included) is completely unused; I untied it from the bag but it can easily be retied.  Any marks on the bag are effectively camouflaged by the nature of the leather treatment.  I have stored the bag, with stuffing, in its dust cover in a closet in my climate-controlled, non-smoking, pet-free home.  The dust cover itself shows some pilling from use and storage.  See photos for more details; I tried to take representative photos.

This Barcelona mini Cabat has been one of my favorites, but it's ready for a new home.
