KNOCKING & PROTECTION

 

• THOUGH Bats comes oiled, Pre-knocked and rolled from factory, however, we suggest all our customers to do the following
• The toe, edges or the shoulder of the bat might break if you don't knock-in the bat properly
• Apply minimum of 1 coat of oil (if the face of the bat is not covered with a protection sheet) and leave it (horizontally) overnight
• When it dries out you can repeat the same process again (maximum 3 coats), depending upon how soft you want the willow to be 
• Please note: Too much oil will make the willow too soft
• knock-in the edges and toe for at least 3-4 hours
• Use it in the nets with old balls for few sessions, before using it in the game
• Make sure the bat doesn’t get any seem marks when you use it in the nets. If you see any seem marks, please go back to the knocking and throw down stage 
• This can be a painful and time consuming, but it helps bats last longer and get the best performance
• Once the bat has been knocked-in and ready to play, apply anti-scuff sheet (plain or fiber) on the face of the bat
• It saves bat from absorbing extra moisture during wet conditions and saves edges as well
