Vintage Fisher Price #927 Village Playset COMP/NEAR MINT w/BOX and WOODEN LP! (MORE PHOTOS BELOW)

Here is a STUNNING Fisher Price Little People #927 Village Playset that is 100% COMPLETE and in NEAR MINT condition! This particular play set appears to have been manufactured sometime during the middle of its production run (@1974-75). The two halves of the Village could be latched together to allow the child to store all of the toy's accessories inside the set without falling out. The sheer number of accessories paired with this base afforded the child a multitude of open-ended play opportunities. This is truly a CLASSIC Fisher Price Little People playset and suitable for the die-hard or beginning collector alike.

The set consists of two separate pieces of a village joined by a bridge with a stop light. The two halves of the village are in EXCEPTIONAL CONDITON (NEAR MINT-MINT). After repeated scrutiny of this play base, I can only find the following "imperfections" on the EXTERIOR lithos:

1. Some loosening of the two Restaurant lithos on the end of the red half of the Village along with some bubbles; these bubbles are positioned so that it's doubtful I can diminish them by reapplying some Rubber Cement on the underneath surface of the lithos without tearing the lithos;

2. Some loosening of the Barber Shop exterior litho accompanied by a large bubble in the center of the same litho; once again, the bubble is centered so that it's not likely I will be able to remove it by reanchoring it with Rubber Cement; I don't want to cause further damage by inadvertently tearing the litho.

That's it! All of the EXTERIOR lithos are brightly colored, free of any rubs, tears, creases, or soiling. In my opinion, they are in NEAR MINT-MINT condition.

The INTERIOR lithos are sublime (NEAR MINT-MINT). The only imperfections I can spy are:

1. Some indentations on the Jail litho; these indentations have not cut through the litho;

2. Three miniscule (1/16" L x 1/16" W) bubbles on the Barber Shop floor litho; these are EXTREMELY hard to see; you literally have to hold the playset up within 3" of your eyes and tilt it in the light to see these;

3. Some loosening and outward bowing of the interior Dentist Office litho along with a large bubble; it's doubtful I'll be able to remediate this using Rubber Cement because of the placement of the bubble;

4. One-two tiny bubbles on the brown counter litho in the Post Office; these are NOT visible to the naked eye; I found them via touch; and

5 Two, small bubbles along the left-hand edge of the Post Office floor litho.

I'm being super "nit-picky" in my descriptions of these "flaws." I don't want anyone to be disappointed by their purchase from me. Most of my former customers state my playsets were in better condition than my descriptions would suggest.

By far, these INTERIOR and EXTERIOR lithos are among the best I've EVER seen in one of these vintage Village playsets. These lithos are all the original lithos, not reproductions.

All parts work as designed (the fire station garage door slides up and down, all the doors open and close with ease, the fire siren works when the crank is turned, the garage lift raises and lowers the vehicles when operated, the knob on top of the police station opens and closes the jail cell door). The hinge to the set has no cracks or chips and securely latches the two halves of the village together for transporting. The gas pump still has its original "hose" and nozzle. The nozzle is free of any chews or scuffs. The rubber strips adjacent to the Police Station and the Theatre are intact and free of any cracks or fraying.

The plastic surfaces are sublime. There are no "dings," chips, cracks, abrasions, marks, or broken parts to any of the plastic pieces (e.g. no cracks between the slats of the Fire House and Garage sliding doors). Other than some light soiling and a few extraneous marks , the plastic surfaces are PRISTINE! I'm confident the soiling and marks will come off with a careful cleaning. The plastic components of the base have retained their original coloration. The only flaw I can detect is that the roof on the right half of the Village is loose. I will be using Super Glue to reanchor this roof to the base so it won't pose any future problems. This is REALLY an AWESOME base:) Once again, I would deem the plastic surfaces on this base to be in NEAR MINT-MINT condition.

This offering also includes the following elusive accessories:

1 RARE yellow twin bed with traces of original green foam (VG+-- original foam has disintegrated due to age; if the original green foam was present, this would garner a MINT rating);

1 VHTF blue and white mail truck with red lettering and closed top and Fisher Price written on its wheels (EXC-EXC++---break in plastic covering rear axle; I will be utilizing Super Glue to repair this so it doesn't pose any future problems);

1 HTF yellow three legged grill (MINTY MINT);

1 HTF yellow patio table with green umbrella (NEAR MINT: scallops are all intact; spring has darkened due to age; I believe I will be able to lighten this with a general application of Naval Jelly);

1 HTF small red firetruck with extension ladder and with Fisher Price written on wheels (MINTY MINT);

1 HTF green/white two seater passenger car w/fins and Fisher Price written on wheels (NEAR MINT--few light surface scratches in the seats);

1 HTF white/green single seat passenger car w/luggage rack and without Fisher Price written on wheels (EXC++--few light surface scratches; NOTE: the original car for this set had Fisher Price written on its wheels; since I didn't have one in this good of shape, I substituted this car instead);

1 VHTF red/blue police car w/ Fisher Price written on wheels (MINTY MINT);

4 yellow captain's chairs with the triangles on the back (NEAR MINT);

1 HTF yellow couch (NEAR MINT-MINT); and

1 VHTF yellow coffee table (EXC++-light scratches on table top).

This set also features 6 WOOD/PLASTIC, and 3 ALL PLASTIC Little People! The figures include:

1 HTF short, WOOD/plastic, red bodied girl with a blonde bob (MINTY MINT);

1 VHTF short, WOOD/plastic, yellow bodied boy, with a red cap facing forward, freckles, and frowning (EXC-EXC+--some dulling of paint due to age; some tiny "nibbles" on hat brim and one small abrasion on the top of the cap);

1 VHTF WOOD/plastic, Lucky the dog w/ a red collar with links (MINTY MINT);

1 HTF, tall, WOOD/plastic, blue bodied Mom w/blonde pony (MINTY MINT);

1 RARE, WOOD/plastic, short, black bodied fireman with white hat and red arms (MINT);

1 VHTF, short, WOOD/plastic, gray bodied Postman (NEAR MINT--some roughness on edge of hat brim and on top edge of cap);

1 VHTF short, WOOD/plastic blue bodied Policewoman (MINTY MINT);

1 HTF, white bodied, ALL PLASTIC African American Barber (EXC++-NEAR MINT- rub to left eyebrow); and

1 HTF, white bodied, ALL PLASTIC Caucasian Dentist (MINTY MINT).

Last but not least, this play set contains all 6 RARE pieces of mail. These consist of:

#1 Fire House (NEAR MINT--few light surface scratches);

#2 Post Office (NEAR MINT--few light surface scratches);

#3 Theater (EXC- some surface scratches);

#4 Police Station (VG++- EXC--"hint" of some tiny indentations on the back side of the piece; probably due to a child's teeth);

#5 Barber Shop (NEAR MINT--few light surface scratches); and

#6 Garage (EXC+--surface scratches).

Accompanying this playset is its original box. The box itself is in good condition (7.5/10.0) with some edge wear on the seams, on the corners, a 3" tear on the upper part of the flap edge next to the top of the box, separation of the box from it's inner fold, a couple of punctures, some creasing, some tears of the original lithos on the top, bottom, and outside flap, and remnants of the original price tag. Despite the above "imperfections," the box still displays well and provides an accurate rendering of the components of the playset.

There you have it----the set of a lifetime. Don't miss out on this one! The overall quality of this set is OUTSTANDING! It has taken me many months to assemble this set. These Fisher Price Little People Villages are getting harder and harder to find---especially in this condition.

I will be thoroughly Q-tip cleaning this play base and all of its accessories prior to sending it to its new owners. I spend a minimum of 1 1/2-5 hours cleaning each Vintage Fisher Price Little People playset I sell (except those clearly marked in My Rough Room). I utilize a variety of cleaning products. My sets are IMMACULATE!

NOTE: This play set is not part of the recent recall of toys manufactured in China. This Vintage Fisher Price Little People #997 Village playset was manufactured 38 years ago in the U.S.A.

It is highly recommended that this set not be given to children under 3 years of age or those who are still mouthing their toys. Adult supervision is strongly suggested as this toy may pose a choking hazard to children still mouthing their toys.

Additional amounts of insurance may be purchased for a nominal fee (that is much less than the USPS). Fed Ex also provides automated tracking updates re: your parcel’s whereabouts directly to your personal e-mail account.

In order to ship Fed Ex (or UPS for that matter), I MUST have a residential or work place address, NOT a P.O. Box number, as well as a home or cell phone. Otherwise, they will not accept the shipping paperwork or transport your item.

Packages traveling to Alaska or Hawaii will be shipped Parcel Post via the USPS. Insurance and delivery confirmation are required.
