These Premium #40 replacement chains are made rugged to ANSI Standards with hardened solid steel rollers and pins. With shot peened side plates for stress relief and blued for rust resistance. Finishing to length & packaging is done 'in-house' to minimize inventory, storage costs and overhead.

To determine how to order the chain you need please read closely.

Measure and verify the actual # of links/rollers or the overall length of your drive chain before ordering. 
When counting links be sure to include the INNER and OUTER links in your count.

  The first pair of  numbers in the set is the chain type - #40.
  The second set of numbers is the # of links total. Divide this in half to get your overall length.
  The last set of letters is the configuration.
 WL - This determines that the chain was made with a single Master Link included.
  HL - Signifies the chain incorporates a half link making it 1/2" longer or shorter than standard lengths.
  EL - This denotes the chain was made as an endless loop with no master links , half links , 'joiner' links or couplings. These are available in standard 1 inch increments. Take care to make certain you can install this easily in your application. And that no Master or Joiner link is required to get around a drive(n) shaft, axle or through a frame. Making sure the chain will slip over the driven sprocket without undue disassembly or binding of the chain.
