This is an F.B. Rogers Silver Plate Trinket Box.  The plate has worn off in a number of places, but you can see on the inside of the lid how finely done it was.  It has a red silk lining that is in reasonable and usuable condition.  It was very expensive looking in its day with its hinged lid and etched leaf design motif on the front.  I have used it for rings and jewelry for many years.  It is 4 1/2 inches tall, and 3 1/4 inches across.  With the hinge it is 3 1/2 inches across.
