Being offered for your consideration is this lovely Artstyle Solid Brass Embossed Chocolate Tin. Excuse the pictures as I found this very hard to get any good shots of and they surly do nothing to show off the condition or charm of this antique brass tin. The beautifully chased lid depicts a pretty young lady with a large decorative hat holding a large fan. Surrounding her are flowers, limbs, leaves, and a pair of Love birds. This is all framed with and elaborate border which has an enameled flower in each of the six corners. The entire box is solid brass with the bottom being painted in its original red paint. The tin is in very good condition with very minimal shallow denting and minimal loss of paint with no repairs or structural damage . The lid fits securely and the hinges are in very nice condition as well. It has an original old paper insert which has some printing on it from one of the advertisers of the period. It says something about spending a dime, has $ .25 - $ 1.00 on there as well and I can make out it is from Richmond Va., Forrest Hill Ave. The box is six sided and has six feet all are which in great condition. It measures 6 1/4" wide and stands 2 1/4" tall. The bottom is marked "Artstyle Chocolate Co. Boston-St. Louis-USA Net Weight 1 Pound". A truly gorgeous solid brass advertising box that would be a great addition to any collection or display.
