J.R.Torrey Straight Razor Original Box

  This is an extremely beautiful vintage razor.  Original box is in very good condition marked The 

J.R.Torrey Razor Co. US Worcester, Mass.  The blade is extremely shiny, clean with no rust, cracks, 

chips, pitting or disturbing stains.  Approximately 9 3/8" open end to end.  Blade has been cleaned 

and polished, I'll leave the honing and stropping to the new owner.  The blade measures 5/8".

 

  Torrey's are thought of as very good American razors.  They seem to hold an edge for a good long 

time.  Some of them seem to have a bit harder metal than others of this brand but that seems to be 

common among other brands also.

When I describe an object as 'VINTAGE' or 'ANTIQUE' they will have the typical wear and tear you 

would expect with an older piece. Light scratches, scuffing & crazing and such like would be 

expected as opposed to a NEW condition. If an item is in MINT condition I will say so. If an item 

has any major issues - dents, deep marks, stains or heavy scratches etc. I will bring these to your

attention in my description.  All sales final.
