Condition: Fair to Good
This century-old book covers the history (including the literary history) of the city of Winchester, Hampshire County, England in 201 pages (including index). There are also 23 full-color plates illustrating the city and surrounding areas, with art by Wilfred Ball. An additional plate, the Frontispiece, and the front free end paper are missing from this copy, and the half-title page is loose. Thereafter, all pages are secure and in nice shape. The spine and portions of the covers are faded; both covers are rubbed. There is spine end wear and some cover corner wear. Inside, the front and rear endpapers are torn at the gutter. There is writing on the front end paper and the half-title page. A very uncommon title, published only in Britain.
