This is a paperback book issued by Popular Library of Ethel Lina White's “THE WHEEL SPINS,” but it is commonly known as the basis for Alfred Hitchcock's classic as “THE LADY VANISHES.”
The book is is good condition, with moderate wear as shown and a bit of shelf slant as shown. The spine has light to moderate creasing as shown. The covers are in very good condition. There is a light vertical crease on the cover extending from the edge of the “H” in the title to the lower edge before the “P.” The book is unabridged.
The hardback first edition preceded this book in 1936. This paperback was issued in the early 1940’s as there is a wartime paper conservation notice before the title page. The cover is a very cool one with the train painting and a scowling Nazi in the lower left corner.
A rather uncommon book.
