Vintage Fisher Price Fun with Food #2118 McDonald`s Soda Fountain Playset COMPLETE

In 1989, Fisher Price expanded its Fun with Food series by licensing a number of McDonald's playsets. Available only from 1989-1990, these playsets faithfully reproduced some of McDonald's most popular food items along with their readily identifiable containers and were designed for 3-7 year old children.

Here is an AWESOME playset...a Vintage Fisher Price Fun with Food #2118 McDonalds Soda Fountain! Manufactured between 1989-90, this set is INCREDIBLY hard to find in this condition (VG++-EXC) and with 100% of its pieces. You'll see many playsets out there that are purportedly complete but THIS IS THE REAL DEAL! As a former Speech-Language Pathologist, I found this playset to be particularly helpful in working with children with language delays and/or those on the autistic spectrum. This set affords the child realistic restaurant role-playing opportunities which they then can emulate in real life situations. As you know, just about every child in America is familiar with McDonald's and they literally play with this toy for hours!

I have included numerous close-up photos of this playset so you can inspect its contents. As you can see, the playset is composed of the following components:

1 VHTF all plastic McDonald's soda and ice cream dispenser base with lithos (VG++-EXC--when you shove the red bar to the right, the ice cream dispenser rotates and drops a large scoop of ice cream into a plastic dish or cone. Pulling down on either of the red levers causes a pretend "milkshake" or soda to pour into a McDonald's cup; dropping a set of ice cubes down the blue door on top of the "machine" ferries the ice into the customer's soft drink; there is some minor edge wear on the main McDonald's, cold drinks, and milk shakes lithos; everything operates as designed);

2 VHTF chocolate ice creams (VG+-VG++--couple of scuffs and a few miniscule "nibbles");

2 VHTF vanilla ice cream creams (VG++-EXC--one scuff on one ice cream and the other has a couple of indentations and a scrape from some hungry child's teeth);

1 VHTF blue plastic lid to cover the ice cream dispenser (NEAR MINT-MINT);

2 RARE plastic ice cream cones (MINT);

2 RARE clear plastic ice cream dishes (EXC++-NEAR MINT--couple of light scratches; minor);

2 RARE coffee cup lids with Fisher Price emblazoned on the lids (MINTY MINT);

2 RARE coffee cups with McDonald's logos (1 MINT; other EXC++-NEAR MINT--scratch across the brown square outline surrounding the McDonald's litho on one side of the cup; otherwise, MINT);

2 sets of VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND plastic ice cubes (MINT);

2 VHTF white plastic Fisher Price spoons (MINTY MINT);

1 VHTF strawberry topping for the ice cream (MINTY MINT); and

1 VHTF chocolate topping for the ice cream (EXC++-NEAR MINT--remnants of 1/8" L black mark on one side of the topping; I've attempted to remove this but it did not come off).

This is a TREMENDOUS play set that would please any avid Fisher Price collector or some lucky child. I have already thoroughly Q-tip cleaned this base and all of its accessories. It's IMMACULATE! I even cleaned up inside of the base!

This playset is not part of the recent recall of Fisher Price items made in China. FYI, the toppings and spoons were manufactured for Fisher Price in Korea. The rest of the accessories and the base were produced in the good ole' USA.

This set weighs approximately 5 lbs. UNWRAPPED and my location is Lafayette, IN (47905).

I'm more than happy to combine multiple purchases to save the buyer on shipping. All I ask is that the buyer wait until I can manually calculate what the exact shipping cost will be. I ship most of my Vintage Fisher Price play sets weighing in excess of 5 lbs., traveling longer distances, or requiring over-sized boxes via Fed Ex Home Delivery. To ship Fed Ex Home Delivery, I MUST have a residential address, not a P.O. box, and a contact phone number (home, cell, or work place). Fed Ex will not accept a package for shipment without a contact phone number. I'm finding Fed Ex Home Delivery is charging @33% less than the USPS or UPS Ground plus Fed Ex includes up to $100 worth of FREE insurance in their quotes. Since Bonanza's shipping calculator does not offer Fed Ex Home Delivery as a shipping option, I must enter this information by hand on your invoice. THEREFORE, if you purchase an item from me, PLEASE do NOT send payment until I can supply you with the correct shipping amount.

Pull down the lever to get some soda

Choose the right hand lever and you can obtain a thick milkshake

Is your order "to go?" No problem. You can put lids on your drinks so they won`t spill. Want to "jazz up" your ice cream and make it a sundae? Add either a chocolate or strawberry topping.

This playset is loaded with all of its original accessories for hours of imaginative fun.

Ice cream cones, dishes cones, cups, lids, spoons, and toppings all store in their designated places on or in the base for safe keeping.
