Our Love Is Loud: Live by Passion Worship Band Cd

"The latest release from Passion has been highly anticipated, and rightly so. The previous efforts were partially responsible for the current explosion of anointed and driven worship saturating the market. The new release is good, and I would recommend that every Christian that loves worship buy this CD. However, there are a few areas where "Our Love is Loud," doesn't completely deliver.
Let me put perspective on my opinion. I am a worship leader, and part of what I am looking for in any worship CD is, "how much of this could I use with the groups I lead week in and week out?" From that perspective, I would say that less than 50% of the songs have the potential of being used by worship leaders in more conventional environments. Several of the songs require a great deal of instrumentation to stand up. If a person on a piano, or with just an accoustic guitar were trying to lead them, the effect would be very different, if not non-existent.

Second, there are several songs that are single lines repeated over and over. I find these types of worship songs to be less than edifying. Perhaps in the live setting in which they were recorded, the effect was different. But listening in your car or living room, the urge to skip past to the next song is unavoidable. As hard as I tried to immerse myself in the experience, there was just no substance.
Again, if you like worship, you should buy this CD. The 5 or 6 songs that are good are worth the price. I just wish that Passion could have delivered a CD with the power of One Day Live, in which every song was a powerful offering to the Lord."
