Vintage Fisher Price Little People #990 A-Frame Playset COMPLETE/NR MT-MINT with BOX    (MORE PHOTOS BELOW)

Here for your consideration is a WONDERFUL FIND---a Fisher Price Little People #990 A-Frame Playset!!! Manufactured between 1974-76, this playset is 100% COMPLETE and in NEAR MINT--MINT condition. It also features four WOOD/PLASTIC LITTLE PEOPLE and its original box. I have configured this offering according to the 1975 Fisher Price specifications (source: www.thisoldtoy.com).

First of all, this base has DEFINITELY led a "charmed life." After repeated scrutiny, the only "flaws" I can ascertain are:

1. One, 1/2" intermittent rub/scratch, along with a couple of barely visible bubbles and an intermittent, hair-line vertical crease, on the main Fisher Price litho;

2. Some mild rubs on the plastic door adjacent to the bell; this is common with these sets; and

3. Some dulling of the silver bell; I believe this will brighten up considerably with an application of Naval Jelly and a gentle buffing.

Overall, this base is in INCREDIBLE condition. The aforementioned "imperfections" DEFINITELY do NOT detract from the overall appearance of this play base. I'm being extremely "nit-picky" here. All of the plastic hinges are intact, the sliding doors operate as designed, and the bell rings merrily to welcome its occupants. The aqua coloration is uniform throughout (e.g. no darkening with age) and there are no abrasions, chips, marks, cracks, repairs, or stains on any of the plastic surfaces.

The INTERIOR lithos are PRISTINE (MINT). I've gone over these INTERIOR lithos with a "fine tooth comb." They are clean, firmly attached to their underlying plastic surfaces, and free of any rubs, marks, tears, bubbles, creases, or stains.

Besides this STUNNING Fisher Price Little People play base, the set includes the following accessories:

1 HTF 4 rung white ladder (MINTY MINT);

1 RARE white/red, 4 seater jeep with Fisher Price written on its wheels (NEAR MINT---some minor corrosion on its wheel caps, I'm confident this will come off with an application of Naval Jelly);

1 rare red grill (MINTY MINT);

4 RARE yellow stacking bunk beds; two of these contain replacement foam while the others are without foam (MINT--NOTE: Someone else did a wonderful job replacing the original foam with this replacement foam; this is how I received them from another seller; they're beautiful; all of the beds still have their original "pegs" so they latch together easily and firmly; the other 2 beds are in VG+ condition; if they had their original foam or replacement foam, then I would rate them as being in NEAR MINT-MINT condition);

1 VHTF white litho picnic table (VG++---some minor rubs, soiling, and edge wear on the litho; some "nibbles" on the bottom of the table's legs);

2 HTF white picnic benches (EXC++-NEAR MINT--"hint" of some teensy nibbles on the end of one bench; have to literally hold this piece up within 3" of one's eyes and rotate it in the light in order to perceive these);

2 HTF yellow chaise lounge chairs (EXC-EXC++-couple of "nibbles" on the end of the chaise lounge; once again, these are hard to see); and

2 HTF yellow captain's chairs with dots on the back (1 is in NEAR MINT condition; the other is in GOOD-VG condition with considerable grit being noted on one side of the chair; this may or may not come off during the cleaning process; if it doesn't, I will replace this chair with another chair in EXC++-NEAR MINT condition; I'm not sure I have another chair with a dot on the back; if I do, you will receive that; if not, then I will insert a chair with a triangle on the back);

This particular offering also includes 4 WOOD/PLASTIC LITTLE PEOPLE and 1 ALL PLASTIC LUCKY :

1 VHTF tall, blue bodied Mom with blonde hair (EXC++--minor paint wear around the middle of the piece consistent with age);

1 RARE, aqua bodied girl with red bob and bangs (NEAR MINT--little edge wear on scalloped collar);

1 HTF, tall, green bodied Dad with black heat stamped hair (NEAR MINT--MINT);

1 HTF, orange bodied boy with red heat stamped hair (MINTY MINT); and

1 ALL PLASTIC Lucky with a yellow link collar (MINT).

Adding "icing" to the cake, this offering also comes with its original box. While the box exhibits some litho loss, rubs, edge wear, extraneous tape, creasing, corner wear, tears etc., it still possesses all of its original flaps and is a great resource to chronicle and store of all of its components. Using a scale of 1-10, with 10 being perfect, I judge this box to be a 7.5-8.0/10.0.

This A-Frame and all of its accessories will be thoroughly Q-tip cleaned prior to sending it to its new owners. I spend a MINIMUM of 1 1/2 -5 hours cleaning each and every VINTAGE Fisher Price Little People playset I sell (except for those clearly marked in MY ROUGH ROOM). I utilize a variety of cleaning products---Dawn dishwashing soap with anti-bacterial ingredients, Mr. Clean's Magic Eraser, Goo-Gone, Crayon-Away, Chlorox Bleach pen, Soft Scrub, Comet, Armor All wipes etc. along with a child's toothbrush, toothpicks, and Q-tips to give these sets a detailed cleaning. My sets are IMMACULATE! All you have to do is unpack and enjoy them.

This would make an AWESOME gift for any avid Fisher Price COLLECTOR! It would also make a WONDERFUL gift for some lucky child.

NOTE: This play set is not a part of the recent recall of Fisher Price toys manufactured in China. This set was produced in the good, ole' U.S.A. in 1975. It's hard to imagine this set is 37 years young! They sure don't make toys the way they used to!

Due to some small parts, children under 3 years of age or those still mouthing their toys should not be given these toys to play with unsupervised. Adult supervision is highly recommended.
