This old tin toy was able to actually print something onto paper one letter at a time.  You set the dial on the letter you need and it prints the letter after pressing down on a tab with your hand, and then you select the next letter and push the tab lever and it prints the second letter.  It also has a space button.  There is a tiny piece of the line of felt broken off that runs along the carriage where the paper feeds through.  It can be glued back on.  I have the piece.  It wouldn't be noticeable and still makes this a good looking collectible. It needs to be cleaned,  and there is a small scratch or too, but it is in good condition.  The rubber parts are very stiff that hold the paper to the platen. On the center of the typing dial is an M and an R, the only manufacturing markings I can find.
