This a beautiful hinged box.  It has a cut out detail on top, bottom and sides.  The first picture is the top and the second picture is the bottom.  The top opens on a hinge.  It needs cleaning, but I am uncertain of the kind of metal so I leave the cleaning to the buyer. The metal does not react to a magnet.  It is an inch tall.  It is 1 3/4 inches in diameter.  I cannot stress enough how dainty looking this little box is.  I think it originally was a lady's snuff box.
