(2) Two Antique Cabinet Card Photographs. Identified as Wm. Henry Sewell, "my grandfather" written by James Albert Winans, son of James Addison Winans (1839-1917) and Mary Antonette Sewell (1845-Unknown). The reverse side of William Henry Sewell's wife's photo indicates she was his second wife, and the step-grandmother of James Albert Winans. The photo of William H. Sewell was taken in Young studio in Oneonta, New York. No location is stated on the photo of his wife. William Henry Sewell and his first wife Lettie Laraway Sewell were the parents of at least two daughters, including E. Lena Sewell, and E. May Sewell, wife of J. Gould Hoyt. A third daughter may also have been named Lettie. Measure approximately 4.25 x 6.5 including mounts. Condition: These are original photographs, not copies or reproductions. They both have some age spotting. Comments: These photographs originally came as part of a group lot of Sewell and Winans family photographs (all sold individually). Meanwhile, on-line research reveals James Albert Winans, grandson of William Henry Sewell, was born on February 8, 1872 in Sidney Center, New York and married Matilda Sweet (1874-Unknown).
