Hydrocoll Sacral Dressings Gelatin-free Hydrocolloid Wounds Ulcers

Hydrocoll Sacral's special shape is used for the treatment of decubital ulcers in the sacral region. Hydrocoll is a self-adherent absorbent hydrocolloid wound dressing with semipermeable cover layer which is impermeable to organisms and water.

The hydrocolloids transform into a gel when in contact with wound exudate and form a moist environment which has a stimulating effect on granulation and epithelialization.

For moist wound treatment of clinically non-infected, slightly to moderately exudating wounds, especially in wounds with poor healing tendency and long lasting formation of granulation, e.g. in leg ulcers or decubitus; 2nd degree burns; Hydrocoll sacral is used in the case of decubital ulcers in the sacral region.

Hydrocoll is a sterile, self adhesive absorbent hydrocolloid wound dressing. - Half the thickness of traditional hydrocolloids with high capacity absorbency - Clarity allows for wound inspection - Plasticiser free, reducing the risk of allergic reaction - Forms a soft gel when in contact with wound exudate

Thin, flexible and conformable - Low profile, smouth surface, resists roll-off - Can remain on the wound for 4-5 days - MVTR Hydrocoll: 400g/ sqm / 24hrs - MVTR Hydrocoll Thin: 600g/ sqm / 24hrs Hydrocoll may be used on: - Necrotic wounds - lower leg ulcers - pressure ulcers - superficial and partial thickness burns - post operative wounds - granulating wounds Hydrocoll Thin is useful for managing wounds during epithelialisation.
