Our Culinary Argan Oil is an extra-virgin, organic oil produced in the Atlas Mountains of Morocco. To make a Culinary Argan Oil Argan the nut kernels are lightly toasted before cold pressing which gives the oil its unique nutty flavour and golden colour.
Toasted Argan Oil for eating is a versatile gourmet oil that works very well with a recipes for both sweet dishes and savoury dishes. It can can be drizzled over food, such as roasted peppers, roasts, Tagines and added to sauces to enrich flavour. Create nutty flavoured salad dressings, combine with melted chocolate to create ice cream toppings, prepare cakes such as Moroccan Amlou or pastries.
Argan oil is used in cooking for its flavour and is not used in place of Olive Oil for high temperature cooking and frying. However, it may be used for medium heat applications such as pan frying ingredients.
