Lofts Candy Tin - New York Candy Company
This tin measures 7.25 inches x 4.5 inches and has a hinged lid. The lid is decorated with a very fancy pelican and something else that looks like a lobster maybe. This is a 1lb tin. Loft, Inc. was the largest maker and seller of candy in the world in the second decade of the 20th century. It manufactured its own products and distributed them throughout greater New York and Newark, New Jersey. Happiness Candy Stores, Inc., was controlled by Loft, Inc.
