This is a vintage modernist geometric multi color enamel brooch or pin. This Pop Art pin is a goldtone metal with an open design of squares and rectangles, which provides depth to the piece. There are open oval gold pieces inserted into the squares at an angle. The square pieces are accented with glossy enamels. The center rectangular piece is done in red and black speckled enamel. There is a white and gold striped enamel square on one end and a black checkered enameled square grid on the other. This is from the 1960s and is a great example of the Mod, Pop Art Style that was so popular.

It is in wonderful vintage condition. There is some slight wear to the gold plated finish on the edge, but you only see it under magnification not with the naked eye. You can see the details in the enlarged picture with the arrows. It measures 1 3/4 inches by 1 inch. The back has a secure safety clasp. It is not signed.

This would make a great addition to your collection of vintage costume jewelry. A great conversation starter and perfect to wear to your next visit to the art museum.
