Mario Ferdelba is a 20th Century a contemporary Italian artist, was born in Naples, Italy famous for his street scenes of Naples and Florence, Italy as well as Paris, France. He often incorporates market scenes and always with a good bit of color. Ferdelba is extremely talented and his unique & distinctive brush strokes are very impressionistic and expressionistic. He brings the paintings to life. This painting is believed to date circa 1950's. The painting is signed Ferdelba in the lower right hand corner.

The painting is an oil on canvas with wooden stretchers. Frame is handpainted white

and gold on a wood frame.

Thor Solberg (born 1893 , died 1967 ) was a Norwegian fly pioner.
Thor Solberg Simonsen was from farm Solberg Ã…rebrot in Flora . He took pilot's license in 1919 and became one of the country's major aviation pioneers. Following the advice of his friend Roald Amundsen.
Thor Solberg, a thirty-nine-year-old Norwegian who had come to America in 1928, had been working at a picture
frame factory in Brooklyn then starting his owmpicture framing business - and saving every penny to realize his dream of establishing an air-route from New York to Norway.
In 1935 he completed the first trans-Atlantic flight USA - Norway with amphibian
"Leiv Eiriksson".
Thor Solberg started flight school in the USA and built its own airport at New York .
During World War II he trained over 2000 war pilots.
