The Brick House is built from a shirt that my husband wears now, with brown corduroy for the roof. It was made at the point where I finally decided to buy the "fat quarters" now offered for quilters, when I see interesting fabrics, since we really have all the clothing we need at this point — though that is not going to stop me from making the occasional shirt! I also bought the coarse green stuff for the lawn, and made fringes for the grass verges. The sky is blue and white flannel with a few puffs of cotton clouds.

This piece has a purchased frame, matted with burlap fabric.

Size: 21¼" x 26¼"

The Brick House is one of my few framed pieces.  It is treated with a sun-block spray, although prolonged exposure to direct sunlight may eventually cause fading.
