This is one of author Wright's least-known and least-seen novels; it features his popular character Dan Matthews. The date on the title page of this copy matches that on the copyright page, and there is a "(1)" at the bottom of the last text page, indicating this is the true first printing. The book is in excellent condition, with just minor exterior wear, a tiny edge tear on one page and a small smudge on the inside margin of another. A name is written on the front endpaper and the pages are moderately age-toned. The binding is tight; the dust jacket is missing.
