This is a Vintage, EXCELLENT Condition, Mark “Silver Pot Metal Curling Leaf Leaves Raspberry Red Moon Glow Stone Lucite Pearl Cabochons Multi Faceted Clear White Diamond Like Rhinestones Encrusted Links Push Hook Clip Closure Choker Necklace" designed by Gene Verrecchio for Coro in 1940. So PRETTY, it belonged to my elderly neighbor's grandmother who received it as a gift from her husband in 1940.  She wore it occasionally through the late-1980s when she passed away and it was packed away and forgotten about. Recently rediscovered, it has been safely and securely stored for over 15 years. With an age appropriate Patina, this Necklace could use a good, GENTLY cleaning.  Otherwise, it is in EXCELLENT Condition with NO damage; it comes from a smoke-free, pet-free home.  Measuring approximately 15 inches long, the Silver Pot Metal Rhinestone Encrusted Moonglow centered Curled Leaf Links have a diameter of approximately 1 inch; the back of each Link is Marked "Coro" in slanted script followed by 3 worn letters that look like "VER(?)" and finally "Pat Pend".  The 4 Silver Pot Metal Curled Leaf Links are pave set with 4 Clear, White, Diamond Like Rhinestones and the Raspberry Moonglow Lucite Pearls are tightly set in a foil backed embrace.  The FABULOUS color of the Raspberry Moonglow Stones is made even more STRIKING by the SHINY Silver Curled Leaf encrusted with Rhinestones that holds it, complementing the deep, rich pearlized sheen that catches the light and GLIMMERS softly.  Everyone will LOVE staring at the SCRUMPTIOUS Raspberry Red color and design of this old-time Choker.  The GRACEFUL fern-like leaf curling around one side of each 12mm Round Lucite Pearl Piece is LOVELY.

Here is a Mid-Century piece of Designer Jewelry that is hard-to-find and VERY Collectable.  The Raspberry Red Lucite Moonglow stones shine with a SHIMMERING Pearlized, GORGEOUS burst of color.  Crafted for Coro, thisGene Verrecchi designed Necklace has an aura of LUXURY that makes it IDEAL for any special occasion!  The BEAUTIFUL Moonglow Pearls have glimmering coloring.  A RAVISHING and absolutely MESMERIZING piece of jewelry, this EXCEPTIONAL, EYE-CATCHING Necklace is VIBRANT and FEMININE with a ROMANTIC design that has WONDERFUL curves and a NATURALISTIC design.  It is the epitome of Old World Charm!

CORO - COHN AND ROSENBERGER was in business from approximately 1900 until 1979.  Coro Jewelry (Cohn & Rosenberger), was founded in New York by Emanuel Cohn & Carl Rosenberger in 1901 or 1902 and incorporated in 1913.  A factory was established in Providence, Rhode Island in 1911.  Cohn died in 1910, but the name remained Cohn & Rosenberger.  The corporate name "Coro" was adopted in 1943.  Rosenberger died in 1957, and his son Gerald who succeeded him, died in 1967.  In 1969 the family sold 51% of the Coro stock to Richton, Intl. Corp., who bought the remaining stock in 1970.  By 1979 all the Coro companies, except the Canadian company, were bankrupt.  It was sold to a South American company in 1992 and also went bankrupt.
