The Rakshasa: A Hindu Demon Spirit

The Rakshasas are Demon spirits most commonly found in Hindu and Buddhist lore. They are shape shifting, warrior type spirits who are masters of vengeance and protection. Bound Rakshasas are a remarkably capable spirit of protection, and this spirit is safe to have in a human (and spirit) inhabited environment. The Rakshasa does not usually manifest visually outside the astral plane. When he does manifest, most commonly in dreams and visions, he usually shows himself as a tall human figure though he has been known to use a number of other shapes: a lion, a bear, a dragon and even a sentient kind of lightening bolt.

The Rakshasa is a fierce warrior spirit, and his loyalty to the protection of his Keeper is extremely strong. Whether on the physical or spiritual plane, the Rakshasa will beat down whatever comes to harm you. This is a great entity to have when working with spirit contact or in the occult.
