THE NEW ADVENTURES OF TARZAN
1935
BACKGROUND
Most prior screen incarnations of Edgar Rice Burroughs' legendary jungle hero were not even close to Burroughs' character. The Tarzan of the books grew up in the jungle, yes, but returned to England and was educated at Oxford before returning again to his jungle home. He was nobility even, the son of Lord and Lady Greystoke, and inherited his father's title. He was an intelligent, literate, culturally-aware man. Yet the cinematic version of Tarzan, up to that time, was an illiterate animal-like hermit whose first contact with civilization was his soon-to-be-girlfriend Jane.
Burroughs was incensed at this portrayal, and that motivated him to produce his own Tarzan production more in line with his original vision of the character, namely a serial entitled The New Adventures of Tarzan.
PLOT:
Major Martling and Ula Vale lead separate expeditions to the jungles of Guatemala in search of the fabled Green Goddess, worshiped by the inhabitants of a lost city which is supposedly to be found deep in the jungle. It is said to house a fortune in jewels and also a formula for a super-explosive. But others are also pursing the Goddess. Meanwhile, Tarzan is also in the area looking for his old friend, d'Arnot, whose plane has gone down near where the lost city is said to be…

Overseas items (eg to USA) are sent by ROYAL MAIL AIRMAIL.
ROYAL MAIL do not do tracking for airmail items unless you pay considerably more for insurance for the privilege – as anything posted overseas (eg, to the USA) is not under their control. This is usually prohibitively expensive, but if you would like your item insured please contact me first.
Items are usually sent the day after you pay, or perhaps the same day depending on the time difference, and delivery normally takes about two weeks (10 days usually, but sometimes longer). During busy periods (Christmas especially) it can take around three weeks. This applies to postage to USA, CANADA, AUSTRALIA, and to a limited extent, also to Europe.
PLEASE NOTE I AM A UK SELLER
POSTAGE TAKES LONGER (a couple of weeks, not a couple of days).
