Extremely Rare TV Shows. The Ruggles ran on ABC from 1949 - 1952. Charlie Ruggles and Erin O’Brien Moore star in one of the very first family sitcoms on television. These shows are transfers from 16mm film originally recorded in kinescope, a recording made of a live TV performance by placing a 16mm movie camera directly in front of the television monitor.
