Item description for Vintage Crescent Moon Abalone Silver Dangle Drop Screw Back Earrings

This is a pair of beautiful vintage artisan crafted colorful Abalone and silver screw back dangle earrings in the shape of a Crescent Moon. The colors in the shells reflect various shades of blues, sea greens, pinks, lavender and more. It is hard to capture the colors with a photo as they change with movement. These belonged to my Mother, they are for non-pierced ears, but could easily be made into pierced earrings if you so desired. They each hang down approximately 2 ¼ inches and are 1 ¼ inches at the widest point from the end of the moon tip to the curve on the side of the moon. The earrings are not signed, but appear to be framed in Sterling Silver. They have not been tested for silver content, so I can’t guarantee the purity of the silver.

These earrings are in excellent vintage condition as you can see by the many enlarged photographs. There are no chips or cracks in the Abalone and the screw back closures work just fine. Please look at the photos as they are part of the description and show the details better than I can describe.

These would be perfect for any beach party or Luau. How great to have on your next cruise or tropical vacation. They will look great with that little black dress for an evening out, or with your favorite pair of jeans for a day of shopping. They are sure to receive lots of compliments.
