This is a pair of extravagant large vintage clip on earrings signed by the Spanish designer, David Grau. The earrings are Brown and Gold Dangle Earrings. The earrings consist of three dangling solid circles made of a snake skin textured leather-like material resting inside an outer gold tone circular setting. I don't know if these are real snake skin, but since these are from a well-know European Designer my guess is the snakeskin in genuine. You can feel the individual scales.

In researching the hallmark, David Grau only produced jewelry with this mark on it from 1988 to 2004. These were purchased in the late 1980s on a trip to Spain. The earrings have his hallmark on the top two sections of each earring (see enlarged pictures). The original price tag is still attached, these have never been worn. The tag had the item number 564297 on one side and the price of $32.00 on the other side. These earrings are quite long and measure 4 inches in length and almost 1 1/2 inches wide at the top circle section.

These are in excellent vintage condition. There is a tiny bit of green tarnish that will most likely polish off on the back of one earring next to the clip. It will just require a little patience because of the textured dot finish. I wasn't sure what to use to clean it off and I didn't want to damage the shine. You don't really see it without the magnification.

This is an amazing and stunning pair of collectible earrings that are an example of European high quality vintage costume jewelery. The color combination is so rich and would be perfect with fall and autumn colors and right on into winter and the holidays. The value will only increase since he is no longer producing jewelry.
