This is an unusual feed sack purchased several years ago at an estate sale in Indiana! It has a design of blue gingham accented with green baskets filled with yellow and white flowers. There is a solid green border but if you will look closely at the photo, you will see there is a printed “cutting line” just below the scallops! Wouldn’t this make an adorable summer dress for a little girl? So easy to make and so cute!
Feed sack has been opened at side and bottom seams and it measures 37” x 40”. It is in wonderful condition but I did notice there are 4 cuts almost at the center fold line and each cut is ¼” in length. These are at the top of the feed sack and would not be detrimental if making a dress because they could be incorporated into the seam or depending on the length needed for the dress, could be cut off completely. I also noticed the original closure string has left noticeable holes in the green portion of the feed sack that again, you may or may not use depending on what you do with the feed sack.
Feed sack is from a smoke free environment and has been freshly laundered, lightly starched, and ironed (by me). It is ready for use or re-sale.
