The Plate is in Excellent, like new condition and is approximately 10 inches wide.
 
Please see picture for a better look.  This is prettier then what the picture shows.  Please don't be mislead by the picture.  The plate is round.  When I scanned it, it was larger then the scanning screen so it came out oval looking.  The bottom shiny "U" part is also part of the scan, not on the actual plate.  Sorry for the confusion.
