Genuine Japanese woodblock print by Chikanobu Toyohara,signed Yosshu Chikanobu,dated Meiji year 30th,second month (1898). This is a triptych,71 x 36 cm,impression,colors and condition all very good with Meiji album backing. Titled 'Chiyoda no on-omote mokuroku'-events of Prince Tokugawa outside the Chiyoda castle,where on New Year day,the daimyos assembled at the castle of the prince. You see most of these daimyo dressed as samurai and wearing one or two swords,some are removing their shoes as they entered the hall .
